AMERICAN COACH ASSOCIATION (ACA)
WESTERN REGIONAL CHAPTER BOARD MEETING
June 20, 2021
ATTENDEES: Robert (Bob) Clapper, President; John Carr, Vice President; and Patricia (Pat) Adams, Secretary; Debbie Darby, Treasurer.
ABSENT: Doug Anderson, Vice President
Bob Clapper opened the meeting at 5:12 p.m. at the River Run Resort in Granby, Colorado.
Bob welcomed everyone who was in attendance with special attention to our first timers. He asked everyone in attendance to introduce themselves and where they live to acquaint everyone.
SECRETARY’S REPORT: Pat Adams read the March 28, 2021 meeting minutes. Jerry Scott made a motion, seconded by Tom Jordahl to approve the minutes as read.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Debbie Darby read the report with a balance of $12,153. Scott Rose made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Pat Hasty. Approved as read.
T-AWARD: Bob gave a brief history of the T award, and was happy to give some examples of previous awardees. Ros de Giaxa had to return to his motorhome to wear it proudly. There were no new candidates at this time.
RALLY: Bob spoke of the September 24-28, 2021 WRC rally at the new facility in Chula Vista. We reserved 30 sites and the deadline to register is August 1, 2021.
On October 28-November 1, 2021, the Carr’s and the De Giaxa’s are hosted a Chapter rally at the Verde Ranch located in Camp Verde area of Arizona. The cost is $99 and you make your own camping reservation.
The Caldwell’s have reserved Winchester Bay, Oregon for a rally probably next year in April or even later in the year due to the next national rally being in North Carolina. The west coast participants would probably leave the west side to the east coasts in April; therefore, we may need to adjust the dates accordingly.
NEW BUSINESS: A question was raised whether the WRC would be ordering new window plaques. We would like a new logo for our new merged Chapter. Charles (Chuck) Chase offered to design it and let Bob know. Chuck also spoke of a RV location in Ouray, CO for a future rally site.
Bob also announced dinner in town tonight if interested see Jeannine Caldwell.
Meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m. after a motion by Dwayla Carr, seconded by Ros de Giaxa.
Pat Adams, Secretary
